Is it so unusual to speak up or make a stand for people you care about, not just for yourself, that no-one recognises that you're even trying to be altruistic? Current Music: New Order - Crystal | | Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 | | 9:52 am |
emptiness and harmony Your result for What Spice Are You Test...
You are Sage!0% Habanero, 20% Sage, 10% Thyme, 10% Ginger, 20% Garlic, 20% Curry, 20% Cinnamon and 0% Oregano!
Sage is a very classic herb. You tend to use intelligence in making decisions instead of brute force. You are the type of person that people want to get to know and be friends with. You don't feel as if you have to impress people because you tend to be very self assured. At a party you would be happy to just sit in the corner and watch people, or perhaps find someone to have an intelligent conversation with. You prefer to think before you act, as you are rather analytical. You can be both dazzling and graceful. People tend to notice you without you trying to make it happen. You may not be religious, but you are very spiritual. You desire relationships that last rather then passing ones. 1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter. 2. List 5 songs you like that start with that letter. 3. Post them to your journal with these instructions, if you so wish. amarynth gave me T. 1. Leonard Cohen's Take this Waltz. It's based on a poem by tragickal Spanish dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca, whom Cohen rated so much that he named his daughter Lorca. 2. Bike's Take in the Sun. The eponymous album was a prominent part of the soundtrack to my cleaning the first flat M and I had together alone, so's to make it habitable. Happy Summer times. 3. Bob Dylan's Tangled Up in Blue. Lyrics are here. Dylan is a kick-arse storyteller. 'Nuff said. 4. Bob Mould's Trade. This song lives in the same file in my mind as The Pet Shop Boys' Rent. It just does. 5. The Mint Chicks' This is your Last Chance to be Famous, my Love. How can you go past a title like that?</lj> | | Friday, July 4th, 2008 | | 4:31 pm |

Two more things
1. I am drinking Lake Sylvan "Rhubarb Refresher", which purports to be made of mineral water and rhubarb, but which tastes remarkably reminiscent of bourbon. 2. Why won't our ancient-laptop-serving-as-stereo work, hmmn? | | Thursday, June 26th, 2008 | | 11:23 am |

ALL APOSTROPHES BOW TO ME, DAMMIT! | Which Goddess lurks in your soul? Hecate You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there.
