You tend to use intelligence in making decisions instead of brute force.

You are the type of person that people want to get to know and be friends with. You don't feel as if you have to impress people because you tend to be very self assured.

At a party you would be happy to just sit in the corner and watch people, or perhaps find someone to have an intelligent conversation with.

You prefer to think before you act, as you are rather analytical. You can be both dazzling and graceful. People tend to notice you without you trying to make it happen.

You may not be religious, but you are very spiritual. You desire relationships that last rather then passing ones.

Take What Spice Are You Test at HelloQuizzy

Leonard Cohen's Take this Waltz. It's based on a poem by tragickal Spanish dramatist Federico Garcia Lorca, whom Cohen rated so much that he named his daughter Lorca.

2. Bike's Take in the Sun. The eponymous album was a prominent part of the soundtrack to my cleaning the first flat M and I had together alone, so's to make it habitable. Happy Summer times.

3.
ALL APOSTROPHES BOW TO ME, DAMMIT!

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?
Hecate
You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there.

Click Here to Take This Quiz

Quizzes and Personality Tests

Eco-heating

I finally got my arse along to International Dance Day this year, and it was generally awesome, especially given how freaking cold it was before I started moving.

Awesome:
- Doing two free workshops, one in Flamenco and one in Salsa-Mambo-Cha cha cha
- Seeing my mum and a bunch of my mates do a kick-arse Flamenco performance

Less awesome:
- The hip hop workshop I wanted to do mysteriously disappearing
- Those ringlet wigs the Irish dancers all wear. Maybe I'm an imbecile but I don't see how they're necessary (I could say the same to pretty much all aspects of Irish dance, but let's not even go there). Cf. previous post on too much beaded fringe. "Oh wait, my dance is boring? Try smiling? Hell no, I'll just attach these slinkys to my head."
- The dance group whose performance incorporated GIGANTIC INFLATABLE POKEMONS which loomed around behind the audience for several acts, distracted everyone from the current performers, and blocked the entry route to the stage area

Counter-awesome:
- The Polish dancer who stole the attention back from the inflatable monstrosities by producing and cracking a whip.

Gotta say, it was weird being the one in normal clothes and no makeup holding the camera, Y/N, poortomsacold?

Unfounded opinion on oriental dance, #472

Too. Much. Beaded. Fringe.

I mean, coupled with such enthusiasm of movement that you can't see the movement itself for flying bugle beads. Isn't it supposed to enhance, not obscure?

And this when I was gearing up to a terribly controversial post about mushrooms. Abnormal service will return shortly.
